Easy Homemade Lavender Bath Salts

Supplies You’ll Need
- Epson Salts- Buy it here.
- Baking Soda- Buy it here.
- Lavender Essential Oil- Buy it here.
- Jars- Buy them here.
You’ll also need a glass bowl and a metal spoon for stirring.
You want to avoid using plastic with essential oils as they can break down the plastic. You don’t want plastic in your lovely bath salts.
This is the same reason you don’t want to buy oils with squeeze dropper lids. Anything sold with these are not true essential oils, as the oils would eat away the squeeze bulb and make it a gummy mess. This is just another way to tell whether you are buying quality essential oils.
- 3 Cups Epson Salts
- 1 Cup Baking Soda
- 30 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
- Place the Epson Salts in the glass bowl.
- Stir in 1 cup of baking soda. Mix well.
- Add the Lavender essential oil. Add 10 drops and then stir to mix. Repeat until you have added 30 drops of essential oil.
- Place in airtight glass containers.
Use 1-2 Tablespoons in a bath. Soak for 15-30 minutes while the Lavender relaxes and calms you. Theory says that you will absorb some of the magnesium from the Epson Salts through your skin. This is good for your health as many people don’t get enough magnesium in their diet. The baking soda helps to leave your skin moisturized and silky smooth.
